Hemlock’s DeathTrap

Hemlock returns to Ironfest. With a 35 year international career, and fresh from the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Hemlock brings his larrakin outback humour and “DANGER” to Portland. Face the fear with laughter and enjoy a truly metal show this Ironfest.

The Mutineers

The Mutineers are Sydney’s leading Pirate band. Or perhaps Sydney’s only pirate band.. We play piratical tunes from the Golden Age of Australian Piracy as well as the odd sea shanty or two. The Mutineers will be roaming and busking, singing for our supper! All tunes played in the key of Arrrrh!

Historical Village

Located on the north eastern side of the festival site. All the re-enactment displays will be accessible throughout festival hours.

Ausreenact WW2 Living History Club of Australia

Ausreenact is a non political WW2 living history club based in NSW, We are registered with the NSW Department of fair Trading as an incorporated not for profit club. We are comprised of individuals who share a common interest in history and militaria, with a particular focus on the WW2 uniforms, equipment and vehicles of the Allied and Axis forces in the European theatre of Operations.

Einherjar

Einherjar – We are a living history Medieval Village with interactive displays such as weapon and armour racks, board games, sewing and crafting displays and a pillory. We will also perform a 30 minute combat display where our members will fight each other with historic armour and weapons from various different time periods of the medieval age.

Fernhill Australia Arms

Fernhill Australia Arms. Part of the 1st Lighthorse Troop (Lithgow Section) Fernhill offers static displays and roving displays featuring horses & a variety of military vehicles. Their displays include varying WW1 and WW2 artefacts as well as interactive activities for visitors.

Hammers of Thegn

The Hammers of Thegn is a dark ages living history and re-enactment group based in Australia, specializing in the 9th to 10th century Denmark period

Legio VI Victrix

Legio VI Victrix is a Roman legion based in Sydney, Australia, focusing on legionary life during the first century. As reenactors, we research the ancient lifestyle and civilisation that shaped much of today’s society. We create clothing, build kits and conduct drills as well as try out ancient Roman recipes.

Lego IX

Legio IX
The famous disappearance of Legio IX in the hills of Scotland is well theorised by many leading history intellectuals. In fact we don’t know what happened to men of the Ninth. Who would have thought they would turn up almost two thousand years later in Sydney Australia.

Lithgow Living History

Lithgow Living History. LLH is a long established localised participant in Ironfest, from the very first event outside the organiser’s shopfront. We have wandered through many impressions, from cave people through to 20th Century military. Unfortunately many of our troop have moved away but we are attracting new members.

Medieval Archery Society

The Medieval Archery Society is a reenactment group focussing on the English longbow, but interested in all traditional forms of archery. We are based in South West Sydney, and reenact a 14th Century English Free Company. We also put on a fine display of Arms and Armour, and many of the other activities associated with Medieval life.

NSW Corps of Marines Inc. 21eme Regiment de Ligne NSW is attending Ironfest Portland 2026 over the weekend of the 18th & 19th of April so if you have an interest in Napoleonic reenactments or NSW Colonial history drop by our camp to say hello.

Society for Creative Anachronism – Shire of Dismal Fogs

Stretching from the Blue Mountains west to Dubbo, New South Wales, the Shire of Dismal Fogs is a regional branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is an international non-profit educational organisation that is dedicated to the research and recreation of pre-17th century European History.

The Huscarls

The Huscarls are a Dark Age Re-enactment Society based in Sydney and the NSW Central Coast with a focus on depicting the everyday life of the Vikings with authentic displays.

Fibre Tech Village

Fibre Tech Village presented by The Shepherd’s Choice, Come and see how people made their textiles and clothing for thousands of years. True slow fashion. Spinning, Weaving, Felting displays. Mini-workshops of some of these.

Game Grounds – Interactive Play space

Game Grounds – Interactive Play Space: LARP, Tabletop Gaming, Kids Boffer Weapons Play, May Pole Dance sessions, and more will be available as drop in activities for guests to take part in. Join us for a world of fun, All presented by “Kingdoms of Rae’thia – Lithgow LARP” & “Lord Aegidius the Boffer Wizard”; Also featured are “Roll of the Dice” running games of DnD, and “Tribus Studios” running beginner tabletop war gaming.

IRONFEST PARADE makes a grand return. SATURDAY 18th @ 3pm sharp. All the IRONFEST clans are graciously invited to participate where man power and numbers permit.

Kids Boffer

Kids Boffer with Scott Davies. Lord Aegidius the boffer wizard will be back with thrones, weapons and armour for that photo you’ve always wanted. Along with heraldic displays to inspire the children to draw up some great designs on their shields before the battles begin.

LithGeek Gaming

LithGeek Gaming. If you wanted to try your hand at Warhammer we will have a booth where you can play a short game with our models (that is right you don’t have to pay anything to try)

Lithgow Highland Pipe Band

The fabulous Lithgow Highland Pipe Band is a local cultural icon; a Scottish band that has been together since 1913. They wear the Royal Stewart Tartan and are in demand all around the state with a reputation for being a Show Band with marching displays, drumming salutes and novelty tunes.They will stir your soul.

Steampunk Vagabonds

Steampunk Vagabonds are a performance troupe based in the Illawarra specialising in themed performances, roving entertainment, vintage styling, and good, old fashioned fun. This year they are represented by a small contingent of our Brides of Dracula, alongside with the Count himself, bringing a touch of macabre decadence to the event.

The Creative Cruiser

Christine Fisher Keeble — better known as The Creative Cruiser — is an artist, writer, producer, and motorcycle adventurer with a passion for storytelling from the open road. Blending creativity with curiosity, and some cheeky Aussie larrikin banter. Chris travels the world on her beautifully customised Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle, famously known as Calamity Jane – a steam punk, mad max, inspired creation of hers.

The Robot Group!!!

The Robot Group!!!. The famous robot group will be back again this year displaying all of your favourite movie and TV robots. We’ll have plenty of Star Wars droids such as good old R2D2, a Darlek and K9 from Dr Who and maybe even a Tardis, if we can contact the Doctor in time.

The Glen Museum

The Glen Museum collection is the result of lifelong work by local identity, the late Charlie Pinch, who worked at the cement works and his partner, the late Valerie Risby.
